Golf tournament benefiting fallen soldiers’ families to kick off
LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ (KPHO) -
Hundreds turned out for the opening ceremony of the 2011 Patriot All-American Invitational this morning.
The 54 hole collegiate golf tournament kicks off Wednesday in the west Valley at the Wigwam Resort.
The competition features the top collegiate golfers in the nation.
Proceeds from the tournament will help families of fallen soldiers.
“It’s great to know that these collegiate golfers are great patriots for the cause of freedom. They are carrying a bag for the comrades who have fallen or been wounded and supporting their families,” shared Major Ed Pulido who is retired from the U.S. Army.
Organizers hope to make this an annual event.
Its nice to have golfing tournament such as this for the benefit of our soldiers and their families…
